Welcome to the Isle of Wight Ornithological Group

The Isle of Wight Ornithological Group (IWO Group) is a friendly community of like-minded, passionate individuals who record and publish information about wild birds in the county of the Isle of Wight, England. This website is specifically for members and potential members of the Group. In addition, we hope that visitors to the Island will also find it useful.

The Group Membership

Among the benefits of the Group Membership are: three newsletters a year; the latest full colour bird report - a joint publication with the Isle of Wight Natural History & Archaeological Society; and a programme of walks and an Annual General Meeting, with guest speakers. Latest sightings and news

The Going Birding website has bird sightings in the Isle of Wight posted to it throughout the day.

In addition, our just in time information network - C.R.O.W.S - Communication of Rare or Worthwhile Sightings, is available for all members.
